TAP Counseling specializes in providing therapy and support for children, adolescents, and young adults with autism and other neurodivergent conditions. I work with individuals and their families to address challenges in decision-making, self-esteem, stress management, emotional regulation, communication, and developing healthy peer relationships using tailored strategies and techniques.

About the therapist
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (63715) in Texas and earned my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University. I started my career as a Behavioral therapist specializing in autism spectrum disorders. I continued my passion working with families impacted with ASD and focused on parent training for over 10 years at a private practice in Houston. After starting my own family and needing more flexibility, The Autism Place was born. Over 20 years later, I continue to build my practice as an autism specialist, In addition, I have expanded my scope to additional populations and groups but maintain a focus on autism education and parent training.
